Coast & Islands
Seaside I can think. Aided, I'm sure by endless horizons punctuated here and there with islands, bluffs, beaches, light houses. The tides, especially around my New England treat us to an endless game of hide and seek, as terrain emerges, sinks, and reappears. Nice to see something that could go on forever...in action.

“Me, alone…oh wait, was that a deer that just wandered by? yup…with morning cool segueing to mid-day heat, and the entire historic Manship retreat—Starfield, he named it—to myself. My wandering circled back to this spot, glassy smooth water taking the eye to the distant tree-topped granite walls and a reflection-hinted house. A very still spot to paint, and to commune with the hardy pines that just had to pick that bit of quarry edge. Good choice.”

“There’s definitely something about the breaking up of a storm…the way that the miles long vista starts to come back. Hey, that’s the Boston skyline way over there, right? Yeah, right. The Trustees of Reervations serves up a veritable smorgasbord of views at this expansive North Shore location, from the footprint of the long gone estate and ocean-side rocks, to the wind-shaped trees and wildflowers. And when it opens up, you can actually really see Beantown. Check it out.”
